About Cape Retirement Guide

Cape Retirement Guide is an independent directory of retirement villages, assisted living, frail care and dementia care in the Western Cape. It is written for families, and often for adult children helping a parent decide from a distance.

How listings work. Any facility can be listed for free. Facilities can pay to be featured or to sponsor a town, which moves them higher on the page. Paid placements are always labelled “Featured” or “Area sponsor”.

Accuracy. Each listing shows the date its details were last checked, and a “Details verified” badge when the facility has confirmed them. We do not publish reviews or ratings we cannot verify. Always confirm fees, availability and registration directly with a facility before making a decision.

Photos and corrections. Facility photos come from each facility’s own public website. If you own a photo or a listing and want it changed or removed, email [email protected] and we will act on it promptly.
